Google is a household name these days . We can really appreciate what they have done so far as a technology company and also as an industry leader in thriving new ideas. I just got this from ‘Google News’ that they are ready for another initiative. This time it’s Page Creator.

So I should be able to have my nuwan.googlepages.com with 100MB where I can have a simple but informative web site. I’m also sure that google will integrate rest of there services with this new initiative for a better sevice.
I have already made a request for this new service, but only to find that they do not have any space right now for me as it is FULL. So till then…………..

I’ll keep my fingers crossed……………………………………………………………………………………………………….

I did not have any frequent opertunities to watch movies when I was schooling. But since then, when ever I found some spare time, I was quite eager to watch one or two good hollywood movies.

Here’s a list of my favourites in descending order………

1. The Bridges of Madison County. Director- Clint Eastwood, Starring- Clint, Merryl Streap
2. Dances With Wolves. Director- Keven Costner , Starring- Kevin Costner
3. The Patriot Director - Roland Emmerich Starring - Mel Gibson
4. Million Dollar Baby. Director- Clint Eastwood, Starring- Clint, Hillary Swank
5.A Beautiful Mind Director-Ron Howard, Starring Russel Crowe, Jennifer Connelly
6. Forrest Gump Director-Robert Zemeckis, Starring
Tom Hanks

There are some more, and hope to add here soon. Any way, The Bridges Of Madison County, for me is the epic. It is based on a novel and is still my most favourite movie on romance and love. Also in this list
most of my favourite actors are there, including Clint Eastwood, Kevin Costner, Mel Gibson………..

Just wondering whether I belong to the ‘Weda karana janathawa’………………………..(working class).

You can visit here to get an idea of how ATLAS could be used to achieve asynchronous features in an application. Also you can download the code of the application.

How about a little journey into the past………….. where you can see how Google search looked like way back in 1998? or alternatively how IMDB was 10 years ago or maybe even your company web site.

If the answer is YES…………………………. then try the Wayback Machine.

Our .NET forum is going great guns and the no of members is ever increasing. It was my personal opinion that we should also have a separate area in the forum to talk more on Systems design issues.

Now when it comes to design we can talk of anything, starting from MSF, design patterns, designing for security, VSTS and also stuff like Agile development etc: Scrum and also Microsoft Best practices.
I had an opertunity to raise my issue through the forum and as a result we now have a separate area for discussing these stuffs. I even had a brief chat regarding this with Merill and Wella and they seemed sceptical whether an Arcitecture designer forum would take of.

It is always welcome if our Design and Architecture community can be a little bit more ‘talkative’ and try to share their knowledge and ideas through this forum.

Further on, we have so many developer querries posted each day, but very few related to design stuff.
May be they do’nt have questions in designing systems !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I Certainly Do…………………………………………………………………

MicrosoftFebruary 3, 2006 3:38 am

Microsoft pulled out a giga show at the BMICH yesterday in Launching Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 and Biztalk Server 2006 in Sri-Lanka. I really doubt whether there has been any Launch in Sri-Lanka before, with so much Glamour. Microsoft really lived up to it’s reputation in being ‘Larger than Life’……….

Anyway the whole day was fun and also with Couple of good tech Sessions.
